Are there any major climbing or bouldering spots in the prefecture?

I'm not a climber, so I don't know too much about it. The only thing I know for sure is that a bunch of JETs have climbed Kaimon-dake in the past, which is near Ibusuki in southern Satsuma.

There are four outdoor bouldering areas in Kagoshima:
- Kinpu-San (a mountain near Minami Satsuma) - Sarugajo (a gorge between Tarumizu and Kanoya) - Imuta-Ike (a lake near Aira) - Nejime (a beach on Osumi peninsula)
There are 100+ problems at each of the first three areas I mentioned. Topos are also available. But there only a few worthwhile routes down at Nejime, and no one's ever bothered to map them.
Furthermore, there is even a small indoor bouldering gym in Kagoshima City for rainy days.
Anyway, I read elsewhere that you're coming to Higashi-Kushira, which is fairly close to where I live in Kanoya and even closer to most of the schools I work at. I'm going to be out of Kagoshima until the 21st of August but please get in touch via facebook if you want to come climbing sometime when I'm back. My name's Lewie Edmonds.
