The Kirishima City International Exchange Association is looking for participants for the International Exchange Regatta (Yacht Race)!
Race across Kinko Bay on a yacht and enjoy the fresh sea breeze!
We will then land on an uninhabited island and have a BBQ!
DATE
September 4, 2010
8:30～17:00
Please be at Hayatoshinko by 8:30.
※ We will have the event even if it drizzles, so you may want to bring a raincoat.
In case of heavy rain, we will just have the BBQ indoors.
PLACE
Hayatoshinko
(Exit the highway at Hayato East IC, then head South towards Sakurajima. Turn right at the end of the road and continue for about 100m until you see many yachts.)
FEE (includes lunch and insurance)
Members: ¥1000
Non-members: ¥1500
Foreign Residents: ¥1000
MAXIMUM CAPACITY
Members and Non-members: 30 people
Foreign Residents: 40 people
※ We will close applications when we reach 30 (and 40) so apply soon!

Important notes regarding participation in the regatta ～
・ Participants must be in elementary school or older. (Elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.)
・ If you signed up but cannot come, let us know by Thursday, September 1!!
・ You do not need any sailing experience to participate! A trained crew will be aboard the yacht to sail with you.
・ You can swim in the ocean, but there are no dressing room or shower facilities. There are also many sharp objects along the shore so we recommend you keep your flip-flops on while swimming. If you happen to get injured, we will have a first aid kit so please ask one of the staff.
・ We will have a BBQ for lunch. Your help in the preparation and clean-up will be greatly appreciated!
・ If you need a ride to Hayatoshinko from the station (and back), indicate so by marking a circle under the “Need a Ride” column on the application form.
