First Annual Co-ed Kyushu Beach Ultimate Tournament

Otachimisaki Park, Kumamoto Prefecture
KumAJET would like to welcome you to Kumamoto, and invite you to the first ever Beach Ultimate Tournament in the prefecture! Whether you are a veteran to the sport, or never played in your life, Frisbee is a great way to meet people and have fun in a sports environment.
Co-ed Beach Frisbee is a non-contact, 5v5 sport (3 Male 2 Female) played using a 175g flying disc. For complete rules please visit www.beachultimate.org/5on5rules_short.html

Games/Rules Related
l The minimum number of participants for a team is 8. Recommended 5 male 3 female.
Ø The game itself is 5v5 with substitutions. Please refer to www.beachultimate.org/5on5rules_short.html for complete rules
Ø Games will be in MIXED format! 3-2 gender ratio must be observed at all times.
l Free agents (participants without a full team) can be placed on a team if requested.
l Deadline for team registration is September 9th. Finalized rosters are due on September 12th.
l The first day of the tournament will be a Hat tournament. Teams will be mixed randomly, and players will have the opportunity to play with players from other areas in a recreational format.
Ø The second day will be a regular tournament with a championship bracket
Facilities/Accommodations Related
l 20 8-person cabins have been reserved. They can hold more than 8 people, but only 8 futons are provided. Each costs ￥18,900/night to rent. Price is separate from tournament entry cost!
Ø Cabins are about a 5 minute drive from the beach, about 20 minutes on foot.
l Breakfast and dinner are NOT provided. There is a nearby Bento ヒライ, and a combini.
l The onsen is also nearby, about 5 minutes by car, and 20 minutes on foot.
l All cabins have running water and showers. Each cabin also comes with a BBQ pit.
BBQ Related
l KumAJET will be throwing a tournament BBQ for all tournament participants.
Ø It will cost ￥1500 to attend, separate from other costs.
l BYOB, KumAJET and affiliates will NOT provide alcoholic beverages for the duration of the Barbeque.
l Please conduct yourself properly and act responsibly. We will be using a public venue, and be representative of the JET community in Kyushu as a whole.
