I'm Perry, going into my fourth year as an ALT in Tarumizu City. As those who know me are well aware, I'm a big movie buff and also a writer.

Hello! I'm Kennard, a CIR based in Kagoshima city. I am from one of the minority participating countries - Singapore, and it will be my second year into JET from this August (2011). I majored in Japanese Studies in university and worked with a Japanese company in Singapore for two years before coming to Kagoshima on JET. I have also stayed in Okayama and Kyoto for about a year each. I like playing the acoustic guitar and I'm a big fan of country music. I love drawing and playing video games too. Hi guys! I'm Maui, ALT somewhere in Kagoshima. Seems that I'm a prefectural JET so i don't know yet where i'm going. Hopefully soon~
What can I say about me?... Hmm.. I'm an animation & digital art graduate, can't really speak Japanese, but I speak fluent Portuguese. I love computers, nature, tennis and art in general, and I'm looking forward to some awesome scuba diving in Kyushu.
Also, i'm group B, so might meet some of you at Tokyo Orientation.

Howdy y'all!
My name is Jonny. I was just placed in Higashikushira and am looking forward to life in Kagoshima. I am a big outdoorsman and actively enjoy hiking, rockclimbing, downhill mountain biking etc. I hope to get my diving certification at some point while living in Kyushu
I majored in East Asian Languages (Japanese and Chinese) and Linguistics, but I still butcher Japanese left and right.....hoping to work on that.
I am always down for excursions and trips so keep me posted.

I'm very much into music, not really a good musician tho XD, but love it all the same. I'm going to miss the music scene here in Glasgow (it's huge!) so it would be awesome to know places around the area to go to.

Hi everyone! I came to Japan as an ALT for Amami Oshima in 2010, so I am now just starting my second year. I graduated from the University of WI Madison with a major in Japanese. I am an elementary and junior high school ALT with 14 schools. I never expected to like living in Amami - I was terrified that I was placed on an island. However, I wouldn't trade my placement for the world. It's been the most amazing experience I've ever had. I've met the most wonderful people, seen the most wonderful things, and learned so much within such a short time. I love indoor activities such as playing video games, reading, drawing, and spending way too long on my computer. However, I love taking walks, and now have an obsession with going to the beach (how romantic of me). I love bowling, and just being with other people, talking about anything and everything. Maybe I'm biased, but Kagoshima Prefecture is such a wonderful place to live. Granted, I don't get to the mainland often, but my experience on Amami has been one I will never forget. I can't wait to meet all of the new ALTs this year! You are all in for a treat.

Hi, everyone! I'm Logan Morley, 29 years old (30 is approaching fast!) and I'm a first year ALT in Satsuma-cho. My wife Asuka (Japanese, originally from Sasebo, Nagasaki!) and I just got moved in a few weeks ago, and we are loving little Satsuma!
I studied Anthropology, Art, History and Japanese in college, and graduated with a BA in Anthropology from Fort Lewis College (Durango, CO) in 2005. I was working as the director of a wilderness monitoring non-profit program in Durango for almost six years until joining the JET Programme this Summer. I also spent the past seven years teaching and tutoring English to Japanese college students in America.
I love hiking, climbing, running, (American) football, football, baseball, basketball (list goes on...), drawing, writing, studying Japanese and getting lost on back-roads with my wife in Satsuma!
I will be teaching at eight schools in the Satsuma area, and am very much looking forward to meeting all of you at the Kagoshima Prefectural Orientation just before the start of the second school term. So there's my life story! I hope everyone is doing well, and see you in a few short weeks!

Hey all,
My name is Matt O'Boyle and I'm a 2nd year ALT here in Kagoshima City. As I type this post, I've come to the scary realization I turn 25 in two days...
My hobbies include running, camping, hiking, cooking, anime and, last but certainly not least, gaming; both online and off. I'm a Blizzard fan-boy and a self proclaimed Soul Calibur Guru, but that doesn't mean I don't like to get out also. I live right near Chuo eki, which is rather convienient for people coming to visit from outside the city. I'm going for my scuba diving certifications next month and am going to be looking to do a few dives over the course of the year in Kinko Bay and perhaps some of the closer islands to the south. If you're interested in that, than let me know!
So, if you ever need a place to crash for the night, want to get a drink or feel like having a friendly, or perhaps not so much so after your first few losses, game of Soul Calibur, then drop me a line.
Cheers!
